DIY: Flower centrepiece

Purchasing already made flower centrepieces are extremely expensive so I decided to attempt to make my own version at home!
This is DIY will cost you less than $10!!

Everything for this DIY was purchased from Dollarama.
- Cube glass vase ($2)
- Diamond shaped plastic gems x2 ($2 x 2 = $4)
- Flower of your choice, trimmed x3 ($1 x 3 = $3)
                 - I originally wanted orchids, but ended up using spider mums instead

Pour the gems into the vase and arrange the flowers however you want them! :)
I love the end result! <3

My everyday make-up look

This is a look I wear every time I actually decide to wear make up. (usually 3-4 times a week)
It's a really simple look as you can see and it flatters my eye shape and contour.

First I use the ELF eyelid primer in champagne and apply it all over the lid.
Second I put MAC's shroom eyeshadow all over the lid.
Third I put Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner in zero and smudge it on my upper and lower waterline.
Fourth I apply Clinique's eye defining liquid eyeliner in black and make a wing at the end.
Fifth I use MAC's wedge eyeshadow and smudge it on the lower lashline.
Sixth I curl my eyelashes and apply Maybelline's line stiletto waterproof mascara in blackest black.

Ta da!

Recipe: healthy banana pancakes

I eat these pancakes regularly, maybe even up to 4 times a week! Though I love my carbs, I try to stay away from too much especially during the morning. (I eat most of my carbs for lunch!)
If you're used to traditional pancakes, these may take a little bit of getting used to!
I've been making these for the past 2 years and I always have the ingredients lying around in my kitchen.

They're cute, right? :)
This recipe will make 2 large or 3 medium sized pancakes.

Ingredients (these are estimations, add more or less depending on the type of consistency wanted):
- 1/3 cup egg whites
- 1/4 cup cottage cheese (I know what you're thinking.. But I promise, it will be okay!
- 1/4 cup oats (I use the minute oats)
- 1/2 banana
- Pinch of salt to taste
- Sprinkle of sugar (Optional: I usually skip this step because the banana is enough to sweeten the pancakes)
Preheat your pan to medium high and disperse a bit of oil (I use sunflower!)
Blend in everything in a blender! I tried hand mixing and it does not taste the same! I use a single blender which is great for this recipe and other smoothie recipes.
Pour the mixture into the pan and flip when bubbles appear/sides are golden brown. Repeat until the batter is all used up.
Serve with maple syrup.
Enjoy! :)

Mini fall haul

Over Canadian Thanksgiving, my parents came to visit me because train tickets were sold out...
Plus they came to bring my dog, Ginger back home because she had separation anxiety that developed when I brought her to my new place. She started barking and destroying things while I wasn't home which obviously the neighbours. :( I miss her now but I know she's happier at my house in Toronto with a backyard to roam around in.

Anyways, my parents and I went shopping in downtown Montreal on Saturday. I went into Zara to find an anorak/parka but no luck :( But I did find some awesome things at H&M & Urban Outfitters.

H&M:
Purchased 2 of the same knit sweaters: 1 in neon pink and 1 in bright Christmas green
(both are brighter in person)
I absolutely lots knits but I have trouble finding ones that are flattering on the body. These are great because it's smaller in the waist and fades out like an hourglass. The bottom is a high-low hem which is great for those of you who want to just wear leggings. It covers the bum! I purchased both of them oversized because I love paring leggings and skinny jeans with boots over the fall and winter. (I will have future OOTD featuring these lovelies)

Urban Outfitters:

3 pairs of BDG printed jeans/pants in snakeskin and tribal print
I absolutely love all three pairs! The first pair (beige) are more comfortable than the others because the fabric is a lot more stretchier. All 3 of these are mid-rise so it sits higher up on the stomach. These were an impulse buy, however I love them. I only brought 2 pairs of jeans to school... Worst idea ever. So I went shopping for pants. (My parents also brought some more) Though these won't be able to be worn for years and years due to the style of them, I will make the best of them. They're a great statement piece! The best part: They're on sale! Like mega sale! These babies were in the sale section and UO is currently having a promotion. (50% off the sale price) These were all originally $79 -> sale price to $29.99 -> with promotion $15!!!! In conclusion I purchased all 3 pairs for $45! :) Go check UO if you live around my area!

Now I'm off to shower & get ready for class!
